Brian Reed is in charge of coordinating STEM and digital learning across four high schools in the Rockwood School District, just outside of St. Louis. With a focus on supporting skills-based learning in the classrooms, Brian is always on the lookout for technology that will help prepare students for life after high school. "I was just astounded by how easy the device looked to use and how mobile it could be in Rockwood. It's very versatile and it really is one of those tools that has captivated the students' energy and attention. I foresee us using it for a really long time."

They're excited to use it. They've actually taken ownership of incorporating Origin into other projects in class, which has not happened before we have gotten them. The cool thing is that we can just take a step back as teachers and let them run with their ideas with minimal guidance.

Coordinating Digital Learning Across the School District

Each of the four high schools in the Rockwood School District, utilize a fleet of Shaper Origins in their woodworking classes. Because Origin is also capable of downloading designs from the cloud through ShaperHub, the four high schools are able to share files and collaborate on projects throughout the school year.
