What YOU have been making... plus new ShaperHub designs

Feb 6th 2018

It has been a little over three months since Origin first began arriving in shops and garages around the country and we are beyond impressed with what you have been making so far. From ukuleles to stools, and vinyl art to arcade games, you are all taking Origin to great places. If you haven’t already, make sure that you get involved and show everyone what you’ve been working on. It’s been great to watch the community brainstorm and design together on the forum and social media (#shapermade). Here are some of our favorite projects so far:

One project that really caught our eye was made by Eric Haeselich of Cut Werx, who used Origin to create this river table inspired walnut & cherry coffee table. As Eric describes “I like the look of slab river tables, but I wanted to find a way to achieve the aesthetic without buying a pricey slab. I was unsure of how accurate Shaper would be along a six-foot cut but each board fit together perfectly!”

If you’re feeling inspired by all this but don’t know what to tackle next, we have new Housewares designs just uploaded to ShaperHub. These designs run the gamut from beginner to more advanced designs. Practice flip cuts with this trivet, try out a step cutting technique with these kitchen utensils, or experiment with cutting large pockets with this inlay table (and make use of your Vertical Workstation).

We’re so impressed by what you have created in the first few months with Origin and know this is just the beginning. We have a lot more in store coming this year and are sure you do too. Keep sharing your designs and ideas with us & the community. We can’t wait to see what you’ll make!
