Shaper and Tooltechnic Systems
Happy New Year, everyone! We have some big news to start the year off with a bang… Shaper Tools has been acquired by TTS Tooltechnic Systems. That’s right - we’re merging with the best in the business and joining other amazing TTS group companies including Festool, Sawstop, Tanos, Cleantec and others.
TTS is a third-generation family-owned company based in Wendlingen, Germany, and employs more than 3,000 people around the world. If you’ve been following our story closely, you know we’ve enjoyed a productive and symbiotic relationship with TTS already—TTS currently supplies the SM1 router spindle in every Shaper Origin, and Origin ships in a custom Shaper Systainer from Tanos. The Shaper team will remain headquartered in San Francisco, where we plan to continue doing exactly what we do best: developing entirely new categories of tools that merge human intuition with robotic precision. We couldn’t be more proud and excited to tap into the incredible wealth of knowledge and resources that TTS is able to provide, which will allow us to accelerate our plans for bringing Origin and other exciting Shaper products to a global stage. To all of our earliest customers and fans who have been cheering us on since the beginning: THANK YOU. You continue to inspire us to build the best tools in the world.
