What is Labs?

At Shaper we’re constantly innovating to bring you the best possible experience in your workshop, but some ideas are too exciting to wait for, and honestly are better in the long run when developed with a broader audience. That’s where Labs comes in.

Shaper Labs is a space where we share new experimental features with the Shaper community, so you can test them and provide valuable feedback before their official release. By doing so you help contribute to the future of Shaper products.

As the name indicates, these features are still in development. While we’ll try our best to avoid releasing a Labs experiment with known bugs, we can’t make any promises! Some features might change before they go fully public, while others may never graduate beyond “experiment,” and need to be retired while we go back to the drawing board. In other words, what you see in Labs today may not be the same tomorrow!

Fun fact: Before Studio became Studio, we had released it as the original Labs website.  Gathering early feedback led us to believe that there was a real need for a simplified design tool focused for craftspeople. Years later, we are proud to have it in our lineup and love watching the development of Studio continue from its early roots here.
