WARNING: Please read the following before purchasing replacement brushes for the SM1 spindle.
Shaper believes that being able to repair/maintain your own products is important. When the brushes in your SM1 spindle have reached the end of their service life, you can replace them with these new brushes. Please note that mistakes in the brush replacement process can render your spindle permanently inoperable or can pose a safety risk. Because we want to make sure that you remain safe, and that your Shaper products are properly cared for, Shaper strongly advises that you take advantage of our affordable brush replacement service, or our SM1 Spindle Hot Swap Service, instead of performing this repair on your own.
If you are an end-user and are still interested in purchasing these brushes and performing the replacement procedure yourself, you acknowledge and accept the following:
You agree to follow the provided guidelines and instructions for brush replacement (watch this instructional video)
You assume responsibility for all risks associated with brush replacement, including potential for personal injury and device damage
Completion of this procedure by anyone outside of an authorized service center voids the SM1 spindle’s warranty

Do not attempt to use any brushes other than these with your SM1 spindle. Although brushes for some Festool routers may appear similar, they are NOT THE SAME and should not be used as replacement parts for your SM1 spindle.
